Our Memories

"For those who were with me then, these messages are for your remembrance of me and our time together there."

Jeshua

Capharnum, Galilee

Such a sacred spot.
Remember how we gathered around and told stories to each other?
This place was on the trade route and we heard lively stories of that place where silk was made. You call it China today.
We laughed and were mesmerized by the difference of the camel drivers and the small gifts we exchanged with each other.

Capharnum synagogue

Here, I see myself wearing the scarf of my office. It has blue and gold diagonal stripes at the end and tassels below the stripes.
Remember the words of love that I spoke to you when I was an invited speaker there? The days were balmy, the nights sometimes cool.
Remember the small homes nearby including Simon Peter’s family home?

Note: The scarf that Jeshua speaks of is called a Tallit which is a prayer shawl.

Jordan River

Remember the dancing, sparkling, droplets as they formed a spray upon your face as the gentle breeze wafted across the falls?

Jordan River

We often had a quiet respite along the banks. So much of the land was dry and dusty. Sitting next to these banks refreshed our souls. Sometimes we had picnics here as we laughed and joked, kidding one another; forgetting for a few moments the suffering of the people.

Jerusalem

Remember the reverence that we all felt at the sight of this city? It was sacred to us as it held the Temple that we were indoctrinated into at an early age. The teachings were sacred also as it was our way of life. We believed in the history of our people and the words of the prophets which were also important to us as it gave us our roots. We traced a long line of belonging to our God.

Mount of Olives

Olives played an important role in our daily lives, from using the oil to light our lamps to bringing nourishment to the physical. We might make fires from other wood, but not the olive tree as they were too valuable to our sustenance. This place was important to me and to you as my followers as it was a place where we often meditated together. I offer this to you as a part of your memories and mine.

Temple

Your children met me at the steps where we played our games together. This was the hub of our spiritual life and those who did not understand their God did not come. For those who met me there, I have a special gift for you. This is something special I do believe and it may help you to remember. Many of you who read this were with me when I drove the money changers from the temple. You were astonished at the audacity I displayed as I challenged those temple priests who took what little you had left after the Romans inflicted their share of taxes. This act gave you some hope that your world might change for the better.

Upper Room

What is held in tradition is really true. The last supper was held there and it is located on Mount Zion. Tradition shows me as breaking the bread and sharing wine with my apostles. While that is true, I had done this many times in the sacred tradition of the Essenes and to commemorate the Setter Supper also. What isn’t generally known is that as a public place we entered many times and shared food and conversation. Meditate upon the picture and see if you can remember.

The Tomb

This also was a place known by my inner most friends. It was built in an olive grove owned by Joseph of Arimathea and was his tomb as is stated in the records. It was a place of tradition also as the construction followed our ancient heritage. I see you now grieving at the entrance as I was carried into that place and prepared according to our ancient traditions. But there were some who knew this wasn’t permanent. I was very shallowly breathing though I appeared to be dead. It was part of the plan of the rescue. I was taken down from the cross and not allowed to hang there over the Sabbath. I was left there long enough to fulfill the prophesies and nothing more.

A Galilee Boat

Remember the wind in the sail?
Most of the time the water was calm and the serenity of it along with the blue of the sky made one feel at peace. It was a peaceful place while in the water. It was at these peaceful moments when the Roman Army could be forgotten and only the God within remembered. At these moments one could also forget all the rules of the controllers of our faith. It was at these moments that we touched each other in the heart.

Picture of two boats

The Sea of Galilee could be very smooth as it is shown here. There were also sudden storms that were violent in such a manner that this picture belies the tempest that could arise there. It was here that Simon Peter had a fleet of fishing boats and it was here that we had gathered one day when a storm arose and Peter and the others feared that we would sink in a wave. It was also here that I calmed the storm and walked on the water and tested Peter’s faith.

Jordan River

We considered the Jordan River our lifeblood. A land so dry needed such a refreshing respite. There was more water than when I was there though.
Remember the White Egrets? They are nearly all gone now but they came from Egypt originally and brought ancient memories with them as many of you had past life memories from there. Even now some of you remember the rituals from Egypt even though they are wispy memories that only occasionally surface in your mind.

Jericho

This was truly an oasis amid the dust and toil just to keep the body and soul together. I met some of you at the well at Jericho, remember?

Mount of Beatitudes

I fed you there. The seven barley loaves of bread and a few fish fed many. I reminded you that the Father would provide. Now I will teach you how you can materialize your needs for yourself. It was here that I blessed you and named you as part of my heart.

Mount Zion

If you lived in the city, you knew of this place. It is another sacred place where all those Jewish thoughts of history and belonging to one another and to our God were important. This place in particular held the pictures in our hearts of our prophets, our gifts from the Father and a connection to one another and to our past.

Garden of Gethsemane

Both of these trees are over 2000 years old. They were growing when we were there, though this one is not as vibrant as the other. It was at this tree that I was arrested. The memory of this is still locked within that space.

Gethsemane Olive Tree

My beloveds, people have planted flowers now, but then there were no flowers as it was a working orchard of olive trees. We had few opportunities then to try and make things beautiful. Life was harsh and it took much to feed the body to keep the soul there present in the physical. What the Romans didn’t take, the priesthood did.
